More flexibility during installation
For the installation of the Danalock V3, it was previously necessary to replace the existing cylinder with a safety cylinder with a driver on the inside. Now, the brand offers another mounting option that allows the use of the Danalock V3 without replacing the existing cylinder. This requires a separately available mounting plate, which is placed on the cylinder and clamped with screws. The mounting plate of the Danalock V3 is then mounted on this. The driver of the smart door lock is his own key. It is simply milled by a locksmith or in the hardware store in the appropriate form, so that the Danalock V3 can be put on it.
Only two requirements are to be considered
The mounting plate for using the existing cylinder is compatible with all common EURO PROFILE cylinders.
These should fulfill only two requirements:
- On the one hand, the locking cylinder must project on the inside at least three millimeters, so that the mounting plate can be screwed to it.
- On the other hand, the cylinder must have an emergency and danger function so that the door can be unlocked and locked from the outside with the key, even if the key is inside.
